Our School
History
Glad Park Public School is named after the street on which it is located in the town of Stouffville. The school officially opened on October 6, 1997. Our school motto is “Learning for Life” and the school mascot is the Grizzly Bear.
Facilities
Glad Park PS is a dual track school with JK to Grade 8 in the English track and Grade 4 to 8 in the French Immersion track. Students in Grades 1 - 3 French Immersion attend nearby Harry Bowes PS.
In addition to having a before and after school program (privately run), we have many community based organizations use our facility for evening programs. Our exterior property includes: a playground, soccer field, paved play area (basketball nets, low organization/cooperative games, etc.), baseball diamond, and an outdoor classroom called the “Peace Garden”.
